We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

PayToo Update 6

We have received several promises that the service will be up and running shortly. For the last 3 months this clearly has not been the case.

Some members are able to use their accounts and we are processing PayToo transfer requests.

We believe that most people will need to be issued with a new PayToo card as their underlying card issuer has changed.

The only way to contact PayToo is via the "Submit a Ticket" link on this page:

http://www.paytoo.com/content/support

We apologise for the unprofessional ism and disregard to it's customers, shown by PayToo.

SMS Functionality

Further to the issue below, it is now possible to perform the following keyword based interactions with the Site on our new short code 89994.

MV - Mobile Verification - inbound mobile verification attempts from numbers that have been verified as belonging to over 18s (by the owner and their network operator) will be processed normally.

ON / OFF - Available Now status updates are functioning as normal when sent to our new short code, as are the keywords ONPC, ONWC and OFFPC, OFFWC.

PC - Phone chat bookings can now be accepted or rejected as normal with the PC keyword and previously quoted code.

The keywords STOP and START and all SMS Angel functionality is still being evaluated for compliance with the regulators' guidelines.

Members outside the UK can now interact with the Site via our new long number. This number will be included on messages sent to you that are valid for replies.

It is unlikely that paying for phone number display by SMS or Other Services display by SMS will ever be reactivated. If you wish to participate in these schemes you should ensure you have credits in your credits account at midnight each night.

We thank you for your continued support and patience while we get these matters ironed out.

SMS (2-Way / Verification / Notifications)

Without prior warning we were informed on Thursday 5 May 2011 that one of our SMS providers were no longer able to provide us with SMS services. They are upholding a complaint forwarded by the UK Phone Regulator who believe that some premium rate messages sent via the Site have been "facilitating prostitution".

We are working with two other SMS providers to get things back up and running as quickly as possible although it's unlikely that this will be completed before Monday 9 May.

What's Affected?

We are unable to receive any messages sent to any of our previously published short codes or long numbers. The impact being that:

we cannot process availability messages sent with the keywords on, off, onpc, onwc, offpc, offwc

we cannot process mobile verification requests for messages sent with the mv keyword

we cannot accept new payment subscriptions to the Phone Number Display scheme or Other Services payment, keywords start pnd, start os and stop pnd, stop os. Members wishing to participate in either of these schemes should ensure they have <a style="font-weight:bold;font-size:1em;target="_top" href="http://www.swingfree.co.uk/BuyCredits.asp">credits in their account as these will be used instead.

We cannot process incoming phone chat booking actions (accept/reject), normally used in conjunction with the pc keyword.

2-way SMS chat conversations are no longer functional.

Anyone who has not verified their mobile number will no longer be able to do so.

No new booking, new email or new voicemail notifications will be sent. These were reverse charged to your phone bill at £1.00 or £0.50. New email and voicemail notifications have been converted to debit your credits account, ({{Page:BuyCredits.asp:buy credits}}). The new booking notifications are currently under review by the UK Phone regulator for suitability.

No reverse booking bid notifications will be sent.

SMS Angel sms functionality is offline.

What's not affected?

Members who have already verified their mobile phone will be able to use many of the Site's SMS features and we're moving as much SMS functionality as possible to alternate providers, subject to what the regulator permits.

The majority of free to receive notifications such as webcam and phone chat bookings, (although you can't reply to phone chat messages).

Buying credits by SMS

New email and new voicemail notifications have been changed to use credits instead of reverse charged SMS messages. Now the SMS comes for free but your credits account is debited. ({{Page:MobileActivation.asp:Manage your alerts}} or {{Page:BuyCredits.asp:buy credits}}.)

When will things be back up and running?

We've been advised that it takes 4-6 weeks to get new short codes and new long numbers, for access from overseas. That having been said, we envisage being up and running on a shared short code within a matter of days (early week commencing 8/5/2011). Overseas members are going to be unable to verify their phone numbers or text in for at least two weeks whilst a new long number is provisioned.

We understand the impact this will be having on your business activities and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused. At the same time we would like to thank you for your patience while we try to get things back to normal ASAP. Rest assured we are doing our utmost to get things back online but are at the mercy of suppliers, provisioing third-parties and regulators.

Client Connections - Sending Proposals & Flirts

Due to the excessive number of members reporting New Flirt/Proposal Notifications as spam/junk, we have had to temporarily disable the sending of Flirts and Proposals. Unfortunately their actions are impacting the delivery of normal new email/booking notifications.

We are developing a mail management system so members can select exactly which emails they would like to receive.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Keyword Searching

Keyword searching over profile details has been temporarily suspended. We are developing a more performant method of achieving the same results.

Any search keywords specified will now only look at profile summaries.

Delivering email to Yahoo addresses

We regret that due to new anti-spam techniques deployed by Yahoo, some people may not be receiving e-mail from us.

It is not only ourselves that you may not be receiving mail from, this problem is affecting many sites.

Here is an interesting discussion of the situation.

Unfortunately despite our numerous attempts to contact Yahoo they are unable to comprehend the problem we're experiencing, despite it been due solely their own misguided rules.

Here's a help page at Yahoo. You will note that they make no mention of them deliberately refusing mail to make the server retry, (which they believe spammers will not do).

We would recommend you use the email account provided with your Internet connection provider. If this is not possible then Hotmail (.com) and Googlemail.com are the best free alternatives.

Change your email address <a style="font-weight:bold;font-size:1em;target="_top" href="http://www.swingfree.co.uk/RegistrationDetails.asp">here.

To meet with the requirements of most email providers our servers have reverse DNS and SPF records configured. To specifically meet with the requiremets of Yahoo, all mail is also tagged with the proper DomainKeys and DKIM security keys.
